I know its been a while. I don't get to come up here too often. I'm alone tonight since the wife is in Paris for a girls night out (don't hear too many people say that do ya?) That's one of the great things about being here. Everything is so close. We'll be heading to the mountains in Garmish next week. They were flooded all last week so hopfully it will clear up before next week. Tess and I went to Cochem last weekend and checked out a castle. We had to park on the other side of the village and walk through because we couldn't figure out hao to get up to the castle. We weren't even positive that you could drive to the castle. Anyway, we were hurrying through the village trying to find the trail that led up that way. Hurrying because we only had about thirty minutes to get there before the last tour left. We'll we found the trail and commenced to hike up the extremely trail. Unfortunatly Tess isn't much of the hiking type so the higher we got, the worse her temperment got. I, of course, thought the hike was fun and thought it was funny how much she was huffing and puffing. She was, however, a trooper and didn't stop till we reached the castle, along with its nice big parking-lot. Anyway, we made it in time and got to take the tour. It was a lot of fun. My favorite part was in the "Knight's room" where they had remakes of the armour that was in the castle when it was sold to the town. Back in the day, the average height of males was a little shorter than now so most of the armour is kinda small. However, there is a set that was traced back to a knight that came up from Austria and stayed on with whoever owned the castle at that time. The man was about seven foot tall. The armour is huge. There's a picture of me standing in front of it and beside a set of regular armour somewhere.
Not a whole lot going on other than that. Been busy between work, flag-football practice, and home life. All in all, I can't complain. I'm being old I must get off the computer now so till next time, take care.
